Bailey and I had planned frolicked through lavender fields, but real life, it was a little bit of a longer drive then we planned, a lot of sun, and we by the time we got to Shelby, we were really, really, really hungry.
Since our stomachs' were interfering with our ability to be creative on such a nice, comfortable, 90º day, we sought food before trying to find the fields. Turns out, a lot of things are closed in Shelby mid-afternoon, but it was the Brown Bear that sustained us, bringing our creative selves back to life!
After, we wandered the town, and came across the best sort walled-textures, and the cutest little boutique, aptly named "The Bohemian Boutique." Bailey ended up purchasing a skirt and ditching all the other outfits she'd chosen, in favor of the beautiful light-pink tulle; a choice I found 1000% acceptable and perfect.
Our stomachs full, the town explored, we headed to the lavender fields. Where, to our surprise, we found surprisingly little lavender. But despite precious little purple around us, the fields were still amazingly gorgeous!! They're hot as anything, but if you get the chance to visit some lavender fields, you absolutely should! :)
